In the Summer of 1964, over 1,000 college students from the North traveled to the Mississippi Delta to work with local community members to promote the cause of Civil Rights in an event known as "Freedom Summer."
Your assignment is to research this event and to write a paper that is at least 5 pages long. This paper can be on a specific event during Freedom Summer or the topic as a whole. Your paper must include at least three formal citations in MLA format. At least one of these citations must be from a print source.
